Heritage Skills Training and Community Activity Events – Summer 2016

The Bacup THI Project is delighted to offer two fantastic training skills courses this summer in conjunction with AccRoss College.

Traditional Sash Windows Course – Friday 17th June 9:00am – 4:30pm

This is a free training course provided jointly by the Bacup and Accrington THI’s delivered by the Construction Department at Accrington & Rossendale College. It is intended to give construction professionals and others interested learning more about heritage construction an introduction to the techniques used to refurbish and construct traditional sash windows.

Traditional Lime Pointing course – Friday 24th June 9:00am – 4:30pm    

This is a free training course provided jointly by the Bacup and Accrington THI’s delivered by the Construction Department at Accrington & Rossendale College. It is intended to give construction professionals and others interested learning more about heritage construction an introduction to the techniques used in mixing, preparing and applying lime pointing used in traditional stonework construction and repair.
